It has been an honor to be in Carovigno, a city belonging to the Italian Pulia, very close to Bari (Southeast of Italy). I have been there on July 4, 5 and 6 as a finalist of the Apulia Soundtrack Awards, within the Emerging Composer category. In those three days we have received Master classes from composers already established in the film industry, such as Anne Dudley (Oscar for the BSO of Full Monty), also founder of the electronic music group Art of Noise; the French composer and organizer of the awards Cyril Morin, the Spanish composer and partner in Musimagen Luis Ivars, the Italian composer based in Los Angeles Fabrizio Mancinelli, the composers Giuliano Tavani and Carmelo Travia; the great Carlo Crivelli, Fil Eisler also based in Los Angeles, and within the industry with the magnificent Ray Costa (Ray Costa Communication in Hollywood) And Simon Greenaway (ASCAP).
During those days, in addition to those master classes, we have had the opportunity to chat with all of them at dinners and lunches that have taken place. It has really been fantastic to be able to meet all these people dedicated to music and the industry. Without forgetting the fellow finalists, with whom we undoubtedly already have a bond of union.
