Premiere of the Symphony “1272 Molina Eterna” 1/29/2026

9 de February de 2026

On January 29, my symphony “1272 Molina Eterna” premiered at the Villa de Molina Theater, in Molina (Murcia, Spain), a musical celebration of the 750th anniversary of when King Alfonso X granted Molina Seca – as it was called then – the being Council and Villa, an administrative independence of Murcia capital.

Thanks to the collaboration of the City Council of Molina de Segura in full, and the Department of Culture, we have managed to make a dream come true that began in 2022, when it was just the date of the anniversary, and we present two compositions, the Overture and Molina Eterna. The lyrics of the Overture are by the writer and friend Antonio Pardo Larrosa. On that occasion it was with the Kodaly Choir.

After finishing the complete composition at the end of 2024, we begin the live presentation project. We have had the Molina Camerata Orchestra, directed by Manuel Arnaldos, the Hims-Mola Choir, some members of the Molina de Segura Municipal Band, the soprano Consuelo Garres, and the Lola Cerón Professional Dance Academy. To complete the presentation gala, we added two more compositions, I prepared a symphonic version of “Rising the flight” and we added the Christmas carol “Snowflakes”, where the White Voices Choir Hims-Mola also collaborated.

At the gala we were fortunate to have the magnificent actor Juan Meseguer, also a friend, since in the composition “Molina Eterna” he makes a phrase with the words that King Alfonso X himself said in 1272 for the administrative concession to Molina. Also participating was Domingo Beltrán, historian, who illustrated us before the concert, what the Molina was like back then.

Then I made the presentation of the music, composition by composition, the why and reason for each one. After this, the protocol act was closed with the delivery of the score of the work to the City Council for its Municipal Archive, an act with which we have the presence of Mayor Jose Angel Alfonso.

You can listen to the symphony on Spotify or similar:

I leave you some photos of the event. Thank you Molina de Segura for the support always.
